I really don't consider myself an abstract painter--i love how th chaos of viscous pigment can drive a narrative. But in this case I saw this image in my minds eye and thought I better put it into physical form. I love the symbolic power of geometry and this seems to be both reaching out and drawing in. I may just call this piece freedom because that's how I felt making it.
